Hey everyone, It’s been a while. How are you all? How Life at the half of 2019 is treating you?
The good stuff going in my life is One, I am planning to start my own IGTV. Two, I know how to cook now(not much, but at least I can make my Papa happy :D) and the best, I just had my birthday on the last 11th of July, and It was one of a kind, one of the most happening birthday of my life. Surprise visits, parties, overwhelming wishes, friends, family, gifts, hugs and the best, a message from my best friend, companion, lifeline, the most annoying but the most supportive soul of my life, my little brother that just made my day.
“ Thank you for always being there and inspiring me every step of my life. For me you’ve donned many hats – in addition to that of a sister’s – a mother, father, best friend, teacher, and much more. And I, on the other hand, have been the most annoying younger brother who’s always been cranky, demanding, and a mess (yes, I am completely ignoring the fact that you trouble me a lot because somewhere down the line, I like it). While all our childhood I took you for granted (and I still do), as I grow older I realize that I am the luckiest person in the whole wide world when it comes to having an older sister. Thank you for always looking out for me and being the pillar of my life. You’ve always been the 2.0 version of our mummy – a classic combo of a best friend and mother. Although we have our disagreements and fights, I know you’ve got my back and I hope you know I have yours too.
Thank you for always believing in me, more than anyone else did. You are one of my biggest supporters. Who else would believe in me after listening to those unrealistic dreams that I live with?
Didi, you don’t know the amount of good influence you’ve had on me, and I can’t thank you enough. And please note that I am very proud to have you as my sister; no one can ever fill in for you.
My Fashion Blogger… I love you 🙂“
Who will not cry getting a message like this from the younger brother who always keeps fighting with you? Well said, Only a brother can love like a father, annoy like a sister, care like a mother and support like a friend.
So, Why not making them feel special on their special day.
The latter half of the year is here and that starting with one of the most favorite festivals of India. For me, Rakshabandhan has always been a festival closest to my heart. This festival is magic.
One day when no matter where you are, You just somehow find a way to come to a step closer to your brother and sisters.
On Raksha Bandhan, everyone searches ways to surprise their sibling. In between gifts, sweets, sharing, caring, one struggle every sister does is to look fantastically amazing at least one day for her brother so that your all-time troublesome brother also compliments you.
What if I told you that you can sort your looks in a day at this one-stop destination? Sounds unreal, right?
The collection with Indya has all types of ethnic pieces that vary in umpteen number of ways.
So, To help you find the best this year, I collaborated with this very beautiful brand Indya and I can’t stop myself drooling over every look again and again.
I am a huge sucker of this brand’s rich colors, style, ethnic designs, and embellishments. The kind of variety available, be it online or through physically shopping in stores, is so over the top. It can make your head dizzy!
Indya has been a brand very close to my heart whenever It comes to ethnic. A brand very finely curating ethnic wear of all types, styles, size, color, and shape.
I created four different looks with Indya which will definitely make heads turn this festival.
1) FLORALS are the heart.
Rakshabandhan this year is in monsoon and when it’s monsoon, florals just embrace all the vibes. Why not giving your Rakshabandhan outfit a twist of floral this year.
I picked up Indya’s off white floral printed flared maxi skirt, which has a waistband with a concealed zip closure and flared hem. Paired it up with Aaliya’s black embellished woven bralette top which has shoulder straps and zip closure and adds such a quirk to the floral finish. Aren’t they both a perfect combination to run errands in around.
I personally felt like all dolled up wearing this whole statement and If you add some chunk jewelry on it, this outfit will make all your family cousins surely envy of you.
2) Let’s talk 1990, PALAZZOS.
Talking about the 1990’s fashion, the high-waisted, flared hem pants very dramatic and colorful with the exaggerated wide bottom just flashes in front of the eye and trust me the same is coming from Millenium. That high-end trend just made a huge comeback in the recent 2-3 years. And, they look even more stylish and flattering today.
When I visited INDYA store, the very first thing I gave my heart to was this emerald green palazzo set. This piece has no gig. Super high-waisted with gold fine detailing. How come It is not a four-legged feeling for your festival. Your siblings are definitely going to drool over it.
3) Does Golden ever say -“too much”?
Who says Golden is a “too much” for a festival. Pair it up with black and it will make it all subtle. I pulled together these black palazzos with golden detailing over it with this gold-toned sequin crop top. A black bindi and gold-toned heels made the whole drama came out crazy. When I wear such shimmer and gold, I keep my jewelry just “no” or minimal. So, yes this wide-leg sets is also a perfect brunch outfit for your festival you just can’t say No to. I had crazy fun putting together this look and crazier fun at the shoot.
4) Let’s say, It is one of a kind BASIC.
What outfit is supposed to be called basic if it’s a festival like Rakshabandhan? Obviously, In India, It’s either a lehenga or a long skirt. SO, I pulled up a floral long skirt with a blue solid top. Adding an off-beat dupatta or light shrug does complete the look for the festival. Despite everything that was going on with the outfit, the earrings and maang tikka just pulled the entire outfit together and took it up a notch. The jewelry added a touch of sophistication to my outfit.
So, here again, you are all ready to set the fire high and make the crowd stunned with your Raksha Bandhan looks.
Going towards the end of the blog, All love to Bhai who is coming to Pune this Rakshabandhan to celebrate it with me.
